Serves: 16 medium size protein balls
Ingredients for Protein Balls:
- 250g Ragi Flour
- 100g Grated Jaggery
- 100g Groundnuts
- 100g Black Sesame
- Nuts of your choice
Procedure:
- Take a bowl and add the ragi flour, pinch of salt and mix with water to make it as a thick consistency.
- Now keep the dosa Tawa on the stove. Once it gets hot, we can add the ragi mixture into the Tawa to make a ragi adai.
- Do this procedure for the dough we made earlier. And keep the ragi adai in a separate plate to gets cool.
- Now, take a pan and heat with low flame.
- Once it gets heat, add the groundnuts and roast it in a low flame. Take away from the pan and make it cool once it turns into golden browns.
- Next, add the sesame and roast it until it gets pop up.
- Finally, add the nuts and roast for some time.
- Now grain all the roasted nuts and sesame separately in a mixing jar.
- Our Ragi adai might get cool at this stage. We can start cutting into small pieces and add it to the jar to make a fine powder.
- In the grained mixture, add a pinch of salt and grated jaggery and grind it for some time.
- Take a bowl and add the jaggery mixture into it.
- Now start adding the grained groundnuts, badam, cashew and sesame powders into the mixture.
- Mix well with your hands and without adding water start making medium size balls.
- We have added jaggery and that will help our balls to stay in perfect shape.
- That’s it. Our healthy protein & calcium-rich balls are ready to serve.
